As well as being a leading visitor attraction, with an enviable site location that is set in stunning open parkland, we're also an award-winning conservation and education facility. This means we're in a unique position to teach our guests about conservation and the natural world making us an ideal destination for an educational school visit that appeals to all ages.
Our Keeper Presentations (Wildlife Events) are fun and informative - geared to encourage participation and learning. There are nine Wildlife Events daily (seven days a week) - for full details and times please see our 'Wildlife Events' Link.

Learning is further promoted through attractive, easy-to-read signs situated around the Park - many geared especially for children.
Tara Hayter, our Head Keeper & Education Officer, is actively involved with schools on the Island. During our 'out of season' months Tara has become increasingly involved with educational outreach presentations to school groups - these are fun, interactive outings where Tara is accompanied by members of our animal and insect collection!
Cost of outreach visits : £15.00 per half an hour session : £30.00 per one hour session

Health & Safety
Your visit will be an educational experience that will bring every student's five senses to life! Every school is made to feel welcome with a friendly chat from one of our Animal Keepers before entering the Park - this includes a Health & Safety briefing wherein we outline the key risks and hazards and request that everyone is aware of the nature of the animal encounter experience.

Basic instruction on matters concerning the Health & Safety of all visitors is given during our Keeper presentations (Daily Wildlife Events) at the Park. It is recommended, however, that teachers and accompanying responsible adults make themselves familiar with our Health & Safety guidelines prior to their visit (available under the Health & Safety link on this website).
Park Risk Assessments are available to view from our website below, at the Park's Main Entrance Reception or can be emailed/posted prior to your visit, by request - please contact us
