“Last summer we came over to the Isle Of Wight for the day and visited Seaview. We had a great time and we were much taken with the idea that a young person could be a Keeper for the day. We arranged that for our niece, Hannah, last Saturday.

We just wanted to say thank you for a truly memorable and exceptional day.

Everyone – from the person in reception, to all the staff in the shop and cafe were outstanding, but it would be remiss if we did not thank keepers Holly and Jake – and especially Charlotte who was allocated to look after Hannah for the day.

Charlotte’s charm, infectious enthusiasm and expertise are a great credit to her and to you. Nothing was too much trouble for her throughout the entire day.

The photographs she took of Hannah and the personalised certificate at the end are just two examples of the little extras which were entirely unexpected and special.

We wondered if Hannah’s role might be rather peripheral – and we would have understood if it had been. In the event, she was right in the action as an active part of the keeper team. That made the whole experience so much more interesting and memorable.

It is rare that these experiences surpass every expectation. You and your team - and the wildlife of course - did just that. Please pass on our thanks and best wishes to everyone who made Hannah’s day so special.

Yours sincerely,
Lorraine and Kerry Paddison”

“Dear Jules,

I think I might have to say this was one of my favourite birthday treats of my 36 years! I had a great time as a keeper for a few hours. It's really nice to get up close and personal to the animals more than normal. My favourite feeding would have to be the meerkats, except the part where I lost a cockroach and found it later squished under my bum, ....yuk!

Please say a big thank you to Charlotte my keeper. She was very helpful with questions and very friendly too.

Thank so much

Serena”

“Hi Jules

Thank you so much for the photos and sent so quickly.
I had such a wonderful day. Still on cloud nine.

I didn’t think to add to my comments, a big thank you to all the staff.
They are so very helpful, friendly, considerate. Even down to getting my toasted sandwich which arrived right as I walked into the café and the lady at the gate when I left.
I showed her the photos you gave me.

It has been a very special day for me and I will recommend it to everyone I know.

I hope I’ll get back for a visit in September to see how Henry is doing.

My very best wishes for the future.

Pam”

Sally Green

27 April 2011

Sally lives in Hayling Island. She first visited Seaview Wildlife Encounter last year and loved the close interaction with the animals.

It was Sally’s love of being hands-on with wildlife that gave her husband, David, the idea to treat Sally to being a Keeper for a Day as a surprise birthday present.

Sally is a great animal lover so being in amongst the Park's many animals and birds kept a big smile on Sally’s face the whole day through.

Sally is pictured with Alfie one of our Miniature Pigs; feeding Humphrey the humpy Humboldt Penguin; and enticing the Meerkats with their lunchtime feed.

At the end of the day I asked Sally how her day had been and she said:

" Absolutely amazing! I loved the Meerkats, and the Wallabies, and I really loved the Pigs, and of course the Penguins – in fact, the whole thing!"

Sally went on to say:

" It was a great experience, an eye opener as to what goes on behind the scenes. Everyone should give it a go. It’s a great present.
My husband has come up with some pretty good birthday presents but this has to be one of the very best!".

Dear all at Seaview Wildlife Encounter,

Just a quick email to say ‘thank you’ for a wonderful day on Thursday 16th September which I spent with you as a ‘Keeper-For-the-Day’. It was a brilliant experience and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! It was great to have the chance to be so involved with the animals and I would like to thank everyone who was involved, especially Tara, Jules, Craig and Fern, for making the day so memorable. I am a regular visitor to the park so will no doubt be back before the end of the season!

Thank you all once again,

With kind regards,

Catherine Gould

Thank you so very much to you, Jules, Craig and all the staff at Seaview’s unforgettable experience for Al last Tuesday. Everyone whom Al met was extremely kind and caring; he gained such a lot of knowledge (and fun) from the ‘real life’ experience.

Many, many thanks,
Yours sincerely,
Lindy Wyman (Al’s Mum)
